The Brennan Healing Science® Academic Program is dedicated to the exploration and enrichment of Brennan Healing Science, a specialized holistic healing modality. Both the Professional Studies Diploma and the Bachelor of Science Degree Programs are licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education, License No. 2897.
Small class size and the low student-to-teacher ratio allow time for personalized training and individual interaction with BBSH’s highly trained teaching staff. The professional faculty members provide a uniquely powerful and safe environment in which healing can take place on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.
In addition to comprehensive instruction in these hands-on healing techniques, BBSH training includes body psychotherapy, psychological process, deep self-introspection, High Sense Perception, the integration of the creative arts with the healing spirit, the development of professional presence and the integration of different healing modalities. Meditation, expanded states of consciousness, and personalized spiritual practices, in which all religious persuasions are welcome, complete the full spectrum of the healing curriculum.
Our curriculum supports students in developing not only sound technical healing skills and well-developed High Sense Perception, but also a strong sense of personal responsibility, integrity, joy in creative expression, and delight in discovering and bringing forth their unique work into the world. Each year’s curriculum is divided into five areas of growth so that our students develop a balanced, grounded approach to the full expression of their heart’s longings in their lives and their healing.
BBSH is a global healing institute with graduates worldwide. The Program is designed for adults who live all over the world and travel to Florida five times a year for five days each class for on-campus study. Home study, between classes, is also part of the Program. In this way four years of training are offered, leading to proficiency and certification by the Barbara Brennan School of Healing in the practice of Brennan Healing Science. The student body at BBSH is comprised of a diverse group of individuals reflecting ethnic and spiritual diversity. Two-thirds of the students come from many states across the U.S. The remaining third are international students who come from all over the world.
Ranging in age from 18 to 75, these individuals have backgrounds in many professions. More than 15% of the student body are currently practicing members of the healthcare community and work as medical doctors, registered nurses, physical therapists, psychotherapists, and nutritionists. BBSH students are also artists, writers, teachers, accountants, attorneys, business consultants and owners, and computer technicians, as well as numerous other professions, including at-home parents.
Graduates of the Program can expect to integrate Brennan Healing Science into their current profession or they may choose to become self-employed as a professional healer, integrating complementary and traditional care. Some graduates continue their training at BBSH by enrolling in the Advanced Studies Program.
